How to Live by Universal Laws?

While we study the physical laws, there exists a set of spiritual laws that guide everything in this Universe. The existence of Universal laws of nature was known to many ancient civilizations. The first systematic listing of the Universal spiritual laws was done in the Kybalion in the early 20th century. Later on, more authors have come up with their listings of the Universal Laws.

Though these listings differ in the number of laws and the laws itself, many prominent laws find a place in most of them. Such as the Law of Vibration and the Law of Attraction.

How many Universal Laws – 7,12,21, or 33?

The Kybalion, published in 1908, discusses the Hermetic Philosophy. It lists 7 Universal laws. The Light Shall Set You Free, published in 1998, is written by Dr. Milanovich and Dr. McCune. It states that there are 12 Universal laws and 21 sub-laws. Together they are called the 33 spiritual laws of the Universe.

More authors have published their list of Universal laws differing in numbers, but the above-mentioned ones are the most popular.

Why do you need the Universal Laws?

Regardless of the list of the Universal Laws you choose to believe and follow, it is a fact that you need them to derive the best from your life. It is to your advantage that you understand these laws and apply them in your life. When you use these laws to align yourself with the Universe, you will undergo a complete makeover in every single facet of your life including your perspective of the world around you.

If you find yourself at a dead-end, unable to move forward in life, the most probable reason is you are at odds with one or more Universal laws. You may be working against the flow of the laws, which is a difficult situation to be in. And, have a high chance of losing.

The need of the hour is to identify the law, understand it, and work with it to the best of your ability. Once you are perfectly in alignment with the Universe, you will notice that everything in your life falls into place and no more hurdles and dead-ends.

Living by the laws of the Universe

As we have seen how important it is to understand the Universal Laws and the need to follow them, we come to question of how to live by the Universal laws of abundance. Unlike that time in the school when you study the physical laws by rote, the spiritual laws of the Universe require application and incorporation in life. You need to absorb its essence in your life to harness its power and potential to work in your favor.

A point to note here is that it is a waste of time and energy trying to by-pass or circumvent the laws. By doing so, you would end up sabotaging your chance at a happy and content life.

Imbibing the 12 Universal laws

1. The Law of Divine Oneness

The Law of Divine Oneness teaches the interconnectedness of the Universe. It tells us how our thoughts, feelings, actions, and words affect the world around us. You can use this to modify and fine-tune your emotions and actions so that these don’t harm your near and dear ones.

2. The Law of Vibration

The Law of Vibration is one of the fundamental spiritual laws. It assures you that the abundance of the Universe is within reach for you anytime, anywhere. All you need to do to access this is to raise your vibrations by doing good deeds and entertaining good emotions. By understanding the law of vibration, you get to control what happens in your life. The law also warns you of the consequences of your actions and emotions.

3. The Law of Action

The Law of Action calls for supportive action to manifest desires. You need to make sure that your actions are in alignment with your desires.

4. The Law of Correspondence

The Law of Correspondence reveals the undeniable connection between the physical and spiritual worlds. By taking care of your physical well-being, you can improve your mental health and vice versa.

5. The Law of Cause and Effect

The Law of Cause and Effect teaches us how there are consequences for everything you do. Nothing happens by chance. You need to be aware of the impact of your actions and thoughts.

6. The Law of Compensation

The Law of Compensation refers to the rewards you will receive for your actions and thoughts. You need to have good thoughts and do good deeds to reap rich rewards.

7. The Law of Attraction

The Law of Attraction can be summarized as ‘like attracts like’. For you to manifest your desire, you need to become a vibrational match of your desire. Engaging in good deeds and thoughts and eliminating bad ones are the ways to achieve this.

The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy tells us that change is the only constant in this Universe. By working on it, you can change your vibrational energy.

9. The Law of Relativity

The Law of Relativity states that no creation on this Universe is created as good or bad. You see them as such by comparing it with others. You need to remind yourself that what you consider as a bad situation or a horrible person is only your perspective. Others may not view them as such.

10. The Law of Polarity

The Law of Polarity helps you understand that everything in this Universe appears in pairs of opposites. You can change your bad situation by concentrating on the polar opposite.

11. The Law of Rhythm

The Law of Rhythm may be summarized as ‘this too shall pass’. When you are in a dire situation, there is no need to despair. Remember that good times are waiting for you in the future.

12. The Law of Gender

The Law of Gender talks about the existence of masculine and feminine energies in everything. Though recognized by the principal gender, a balance of both energies is required for a peaceful existence.

Your first step in improving your life is to be nonjudgmental about yourself. There is no ‘perfect’ way of doing things. An important step while imbibing Universal laws in your life is to look for various methods to raise your vibrations. It can be listening to music, reading a book, being with friends, or even sleeping. Anything that makes you feel good can raise your energy. And, be careful about what is occupying your mind, as negative ones can transmute to undesired circumstances.
